Planting Season

planting

We’ve filled up the wicking beds in the garden with (mostly) annual plants, like tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, squash, potatoes, beans, etc.

We have also planted around the trees and grey water bed down at the town house, with a mixture of annuals and perennials.

Abe’s put in several new trees, including a cherry, mimosa, fig and several mulberries (the kids now spend a good 30 minutes every day going around all our mulberry trees picking the fruit that has ripened that day). We're also filling up any empty spots that are on the drip-lines around the trees and shrubs.

I feel as though I’ve done nothing but plant seeds and water gardens for the past couple of weeks, but the effort is already paying off, as new plants poke their heads through the mulch all over the place.
